How Message to Heaven works

Message to Heaven is a service for expressing emotions and preserving memories. We handle the technology, so you can focus on the meaning of your message.

Messages are transmitted with a mobile app (iOS and Android). This website provides information, guidance, and support – you cannot buy or transmit messages here.

In short – three steps

1Write or record your message

You pause for a moment, write your text, and optionally add a photo and a short audio message.

2Transmit it from the app

The app encrypts your message and transmits it to our transmission system, which handles the technical journey.

3Receive a verifiable certificate

You get a digital certificate confirming that your message has been processed and transmitted.

Note: We cannot guarantee that your message “reaches” a destination beyond the technical process – but we can guarantee that it is handled with care, encryption, and verifiable technical steps.

A moment for yourself – and the message

  • You choose the person or recipient your message is for.
  • You write as if they were listening right now.
  • You can attach a photo and a short audio recording if that feels right.

For many, this is already deeply valuable: thoughts become clearer, memories surface, and emotions find words.

Review and transmit

  • You see a summary: text, photo, audio.
  • You decide whether to transmit it now or later – it’s a deliberate choice.
  • When you press Transmit, the app encrypts the content, transmits it securely to our system, and assigns a transmission time.

If there is a queue, the app can show an estimated transmission time (for example: “Estimated transmission time: today at 22:15”). This highlights that it’s a real technical process, not just an instant animation.

What happens behind the scenes?

  • The encrypted message is stored on EU-based servers.
  • Our transmission system processes it and records the technical transmission timestamp.
  • The signal is transmitted as electromagnetic waves – part of the idea is imagining your message travelling at the speed of light into space.

In future versions, you’ll see a visual view of the message journey: how far it would have travelled at light speed – within our solar system and beyond.

Your certificate

  • a unique message ID
  • the technical transmission time
  • information about when and how it was processed
  • a verification link you can open anytime

You receive the certificate in the app and can keep, print, or share it. On the website there is a verification page where you enter the ID and confirm authenticity.

Why you cannot transmit or buy messages on the website

  • The site explains the service, shares examples and stories, and offers support and privacy/tech details.
  • The mobile app uses the phone’s camera, microphone, and secure storage.
  • Payments and store rules (Apple / Google) are easiest to manage within the apps.
  • The flow is smoother: write, pick a photo, record audio, and transmit – all in one focused place.

The website supports the app – it doesn’t replace it.

  • Messages are transmitted with strong encryption.
  • No one reads your message manually – not us, not partners.
  • Data is stored in accordance with EU data protection regulations.
